Helping

The only issue we had was when Darren was drawing the face on the pumpkin with a marker. Wilson, of course, wanted to "help." So here he is with his crayons helping Daddy draw the face on the pumpkin. We did manage to redirect him to a smaller pumpkin which is now covered in blue crayon.

The "Art" of Carving

See the drill? Like I said, he takes it seriously. Heaven forbid the circles Wilson wanted for the eyes aren't perfect!

Pumpkin Carving

This is the first year we carved a pumpkin with Wilson. Darren and I are truly the perfect complement to each other in this department. I LOVE cleaning out the gunk and seeds and scraping the insides and I couldn't care less about the actual carving. He, on the other hand, HATES cleaning pumpkins; the smell makes him want to puke. He prefers the fine art of carving as you will see in following pictures.

Aquarium

It's a long story how we ended up at The Aquarium Restaurant in Opry Mills (which is the supreme outlet mall in Nashville). We had made plans to eat at Rainforest Cafe, thinking of course that Wilson would like it. Not so much. He had a major meltdown. No nap + dark + loud noises + animals everywhere = TANTRUM! He wouldn't even get in the highchair, so..... we opted to avoid scarring him for life and found a different restaurant. This is just like the seven seas restaurant at Epcot - awesome seafood, tranquil, and a HUGE aquarium with tropical fish, sting rays, eels, and even sharks! It took up the whole center of the restaurant. Wilson LOVED it! Thank goodness..... now to add Finding Nemo to our Netflix queue.

Petting Zoo

Believe it or not, he is very timid around animals. We had to "force" him to pet the goats. Maybe we should get a dog.....(those of you who know me should find that funny).

Tennessee

We returned Monday from Tennessee, where we visited Darren's family. We spent one day at Darren's parents house and then one day in Nashville at the zoo and Opry Mills.
