We've Got a Bleeder!

I know the cardinal rule of child injuries is for the parent to not panic, because then the child will panic. Thank goodness Darren was home or we would have been on the way to the ER for a fat lip. Why do headwounds bleed so darn much? Wilson had gotten excited and face planted on the kitchen floor, cutting his lip open. 2 rags, a shirt, and a popsicle later all is fine, but he got upset and started wiping blood all over his face. He stayed pretty calm really, it was me who started to panic. It's always good to have a first responder around the house!

Just for Comparison...

Me at 6 Weeks

Wilson at 6 Weeks

Maley at 6 Weeks

Thoughts? We've been told Maley looks like me, she looks, like Wilson, and that she looks like Darren.

Nature Walk

We took a nature walk in the forest preserve Sunday morning. Wilson wanted to collect some leaves, acorns, and pine cones to make "projects." You don't suppose he's the son of a teacher, do you? It was the perfect Midwestern Autumn day - clear blue skies and beautiful colors.

Toy Story!

This was Wilson's first movie theatre experience! He loves the Toy Story movies so Grammie and Uncle E.J. took Wilson to the Toy Story 1 and 2 3D Double Feature. He wouldn't wear the glasses, stay in his seat, and he freaked out when he discovered Grammie did not bring cheesy puffs, so I'm sure a good time was had by all!
